NESII Holds a Training of Trainers (ToT) Program

Jan.  8th -March 26th, 2022; the work we do as advocates working with vulnerable people especially adolescents and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) requires a lot of mental capacity. As part of plans for capacity building, NESII is holding a Training of Trainers (ToT) program scheduled for the NESII team members, Volunteers and friends for about eight weeks. A Mental Health capacity building for young adults and there would be certifications for people who complete the classes covering: Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Management, Active Listening, Therapy for likely Perpetrators of sexual violence as well as Survivors, Bullying, Drug Abuse, Handling Grief. The Empowerment Training and Supervision program is to increase capacity at grassroots level.

To reduce the stigma of obtaining therapy by providing therapists – called by another name – from within the community to whom people can relate and whom they can see more easily than they could in going to a professional institutional therapist. Thus, in practice, this means training and psychologically supervising people from within local communities.
